When you hear Golden Era Hip Hop you imagine heavy beats, Lyrical dexterity with lush loops & chops. Some may say that era is dead... think again. OXGN (Oxygen) are 2 MC / Producers - Steve Austin & BAM who encompass all of those Golden Era qualities.

Heavily ingrained within the ‘Pure Form’ of Hip Hop their style is a musical form of vocal delivery that incorporates "rhyme, rhythmic speech, and street vernacular". The delivery and cadence of these two MC’s captivate with high-energy performances on track that transport audiences sonically.

Hailing from West London they grew up in neighbouring postcodes and performed with different groups. BAM was a member of Scientists of Sound and Steve Austin was a member of Espionage Team / Uprock Recordings.

The death of a mutual friend brought these literal Titans together. Both worked with super Broken Beat and Boogie producer Daz-I-Kue on a track called ‘I Can’t Breathe’ in 2020. This collaboration led to ‘For Connoisseurs and Fly Kids’, a three-part EP containing 8 tracks. All member have laid their talents to the production board, with a few guest appearances from BAM’s cousin ‘Quest’.

For Connoisseurs and Fly Kids transcends time with timeless qualities that engages your Connoisseur and your Fly Kids – all ages, all stages.
